Emergency First Responder (EFR)

The EFR course is a basic course which covers Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) in a relaxed combination of knowledge development through individual study, instructor led training and 'real' scenario practise. The main emphasis of this course is that YOU have the ability to help and anything you can offer is better than walking by.

This is not a dive specific course and can be undertaken by anyone who has an interest in improving their emergency care skills. But for divers, when combined with the PADI Rescue Diver course, this can lead to a rewarding and fun experience where skills are learnt and confidence is instilled so that an individual can feel that they are able to cope with everyday emergency situations as well as those that are dive specific.

Schedule:

  • 1 day, although schedules can be flexible to suit your own personal needs.

Rescue Diver

Up to this point PADI courses have concentrated on extending your own skills as a diver but what's next? Well how about a true test, how good a buddy are you and how confident in looking after OTHER divers are you?

The PADI Rescue Diver course offers you the opportunity to learn how to react to divers in difficult situations and also how to spot and remedy problems before they even occur. Although this is a tough course and one that many say truly made them feel like a 'real' diver it is also the most rewarding and without doubt the most fun! This is a course where serious issues are dealt with but via hands on role-playing - this means you not only get to try out your new skills but also see if you can't win the class Oscar for best acting when its your turn to play the victim.

To undertake a PADI Rescue Diver Course you need to be an Advanced Open Water Diver, or equivalent, and have current first aid and CPR training (this can be obtained via the Emergency First Responder Program we offer).

Schedule:

  • Around 3 days, although schedules can be flexible to suit your own personal needs.
