Tiger Cove
Depth: Average 12m / Maximum 19m
Many sightings of tiger cowries have given Tiger Cove its name. It is a huge overhang situated along the Inside Edge, the western side of Aliwal Shoal.
Camouflaged scorpionfish hide in the crevices, and many juvenile fish seek shelter in the whip, black and fern corals. Other reef fish such as angelfish, wrasse, parrotfish and goldies make this section of the reef their home.
Watch out for rays and sand sharks resting on the sandy patches below as well as game fish and dolphins passing by in mid water above you.
